Chief Gordon Pomeroy
Gordon Pomeroy joined our department in May 2008 to head our growing EMS Critical Care Transport division. He was named District Chief in December, 2009. He brings 31 years of EMS experience as an EMT then a Paramedic and instructor with Shoreline Fire Department.
As the head of several private companies, he helped develop an early DNA identification process and has worked extensively with the motion picture industry as an EMS staff coordinator.
He was trained at Harborview Medical Center under the auspices of University of Washington in 1980 and has obtained a large variety of fire service certifications throughout his long career.

Deputy Chief Ted Krysinski
Deputy Chief Krysinski is our Training and Operations Chief. He started his emergency services career in 1986 as a public safety diver with the Drowning Accident Rescue team. In 1992 he joined the Port Townsend Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter / EMT.
In 1996 Deputy Chief Krysinski completed the Paramedic Program at Tacoma Community College and worked for Olympic Ambulance in Port Angeles. In 1999 he was hired as a Firefighter Paramedic with Clallam County Fire Protection District #3 and in 2002 promoted to Lieutenant. In 2005 Krysinski accepted the position of Division Chief for Jefferson County Fire Protection District # 6 which has merged into Jefferson County FPD # 1.
Deputy Chief Krysinski is a certified instructor in many disciplines including Fire and Emergency services. He continues to be a certified Paramedic. Krysinski is also the steward of the Port Townsend Fire Department's historical antiquities.

Assistant Chief Steve Craig
Assistant Chief of Support Services Steve Craig is a native of Port Townsend. Hestarted as a volunteer with Port Townsend Fire in the early 1990's.
He was hired by Bothell Fire and EMS in May of 1994, where he continues to work as a Shift Lieutenant and Acting Battalion Chief in the Canyon Park area.
Steve has lived in Port Townsend for all but four of the past 20 years. He graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1982.
He grew up in the construction trades in the area, framing, contracting, painting etc. He and his father, John Craig, ran an electrical contracting company for many years, serving the greater peninsula area.
Steve has accepted a yearlong commitment to perform the role of Assistant Chief of Support Services for East Jefferson Fire Rescue and participate in the Duty Chief rotation, on a part time basis.
He is married to Crystal Craig, a professional photographer who often can be found taking photos at incident scenes.

Public Information Officer/Public Education Specialist Bill Beezley
Prior to joining EJFR, Bill was Vice President of Participant Communications with JP Morgan Retirement Plan Services in Kansas City, Missouri. While with JP Morgan, Bill conducted more than 1,000 educational seminars, covering a variety of financial education topics. He also managed five teams of corporate communicators, educators and graphics professionals providing education for more than 1.2 million retirement plan participants.
Bill is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Economics and emphasis in Labor Relations. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing on his Contessa 26 sailboat and hiking/backpacking in the Olympics.
Bill and his partner, Rosalyn are residents of Port Townsend, Washington.
