  Acting Chief Chuck Boggs

     Chuck Boggs joined Jefferson County Fire District #1 as a volunteer in 1971.  After 26 years of volunteer and career service he was named Chief of District 1 in 1997.  With the consolidation of District 1and 6 forming East Jefferson Fire Rescue, Boggs became Assistant Chief in June, 2005.

     During his years as a volunteer and a career employee he completed numerous classes for EMS and Fire Suppression incuding Incident Safety Officer classes, WMD training, Leadership training and FEMA classes on Urban Terrorism. 

     Chuck served as President of the East Jefferson County Fire Chief’s Association for seven years and is still active in that organization.  He's also a member of the Jefferson County Incident Management Team, Washington State Fire Chief’s Association, and the EMS/Trauma Council of East Jefferson County.

Assistant Chief Ted Krysinski

     Assistant Chief Krysinski, Training and Operations Division Chief, started his fire career in 1992 after coming from the film industry as a grip / gaffer working in both Hollywood and other west coast film locations.  He began as a volunteer firefighter / EMT with Port Townsend Fire Department.  In 1996 AC Krysinski completed the Paramedic Program at Tacoma Community College and worked for Olympic Ambulance in Port Angeles, 

     In 1999 he was hired as a Firefighter Paramedic with Clallam County Fire Protection District #3 and in 2002 promoted to Lieutenant.  In 2005 AC Krysinski accepted the position of Division Chief for Jefferson County Fire Protection District # 6 which has merged into Jefferson County FPD # 1.   

     AC Krysinski is a certified instructor in many disciplines including Fire and Emergency services.  He continues to be a certified Paramedic. AC Krysinski is also the steward of the Port Townsend Fire Fighters Association historical antiquities, which includes documentation and display of the many items of the 135-year-old Fire Department that continues to serve Port Townsend since 1872.

 

 

Assistant EMS Chief Gordon Pomeroy

        Gordon Pomeroy joined our department in May 2008 to head our growing EMS Critical Care Transport division.  He brings 31 years of EMS experience as an EMT then a Paramedic and instructor with Shoreline Fire Department. As the head of several private companies, he helped develop an early DNA identification process and has worked extensively with the motion picture industry as an EMS staff coordinator.

         He was trained at Harborview Medical Center under the auspices of University of Washington in 1980 and has obtained a large variety of fire service certifications throughout his long career.
